About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life
This is a hands-on outpatient opportunity for a PA or NP who enjoys treating musculoskeletal conditions, performing procedures, and developing meaningful clinical autonomy.
Most of your week will focus on podiatry and foot-and-ankle care , evaluating patients with heel pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, arthritis, forefoot conditions, and other common musculoskeletal concerns. Your daily responsibilities will include patient evaluations, treatment planning, injections, orthotic management, routine foot care, wound assessments, and postoperative follow-up.
You'll work closely with an experienced on-site podiatrist and dedicated clinical staff. As you become familiar with the practice's workflows and treatment protocols, you'll gradually develop your own patient schedule, manage appropriate cases independently, and collaborate with the podiatrist when surgical evaluation or more complex management is needed.
A smaller portion of your role will involve supporting a specialized, physician-directed outpatient treatment program for benign musculoskeletal conditions. This includes clinical assessments, treatment follow-ups, patient education, and coordination with the supervising specialist. No prior experience in this treatment area is required; structured training will be provided.
The result is a varied clinical role combining procedural medicine, specialty collaboration, continuity of care, and a predictable outpatient schedule.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Hands-on procedural medicine: Regular opportunities to perform injections, nail procedures, wound care, splinting, and other office-based treatments.
- A focused musculoskeletal patient population: Spend your time treating orthopedic, podiatric, and foot-and-ankle conditions rather than managing a broad primary-care panel.
- Growing clinical autonomy: Develop your own patient schedule while maintaining direct access to an experienced podiatrist and clinical support team.
- Specialty exposure and professional development: Expand your experience through collaboration with physicians and training in additional nonsurgical treatment approaches.
- Established patient demand: Join an active outpatient practice with an existing patient population and consistent clinical volume.
- Predictable work-life balance: No nights, weekends, call, inpatient coverage, or hospital rounding.
