About this role

Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):

- Shop Organization and Equipment Handling: Unload, move, stage, and store AV equipment, including large displays, safely and without damage. Reorganize shop space as priorities shift and keep work areas neat, clean, and safe.

- Bench Builds: Unbox and inventory equipment (computers, monitors, touchscreens, amplifiers, speakers, and similar), then assemble and connect complete exhibit systems on tabletops so programmers can develop and test software and media. Coordinate with engineers on specialty interfaces and displays.

- Rack Building: Unbox and install computer, network, audio, and control equipment in AV racks per engineer-provided rack elevations. Run, dress, and label cabling and equipment as directed.

- Temporary AV Installation: Assist with hanging truss, projectors, screens, and speakers in the shop for testing and development, using lifts and safe overhead rigging practices under engineer direction.

- Video Wall Assembly: Assemble, align, and test seamless LCD and mosaic-style video walls. Support factory-guided assembly of direct-view LED (DVLED) walls.

- Cabinet Integration: Disassemble bench builds and professionally install equipment into final exhibit cabinetry, fastening all components per Roto standards (training provided). Work as a team to safely lift and mount monitors, which frequently require two or more people.

- Quality Control and Documentation: Verify completed work, take progress and as-built photos, and report issues. Select individuals with the appropriate skills may assist in compiling documentation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
