At The Crown Estate, we take a long-term approach to creating value and positive outcomes for the people, places and environments connected to our portfolio.

As 'Residential Facilities Manager', you will deliver high-quality facilities management across our residential portfolio. You will help ensure our buildings and communal areas are safe, compliant and maintained to a consistently high standard, supporting an excellent experience for residents.

Working collaboratively with Property Managers, Block Managers, Hard Services colleagues and the wider Portfolio Operations team, you will oversee day-to-day hard and soft services. This includes maintenance, contractor performance, statutory compliance, operational risk and service charge management. You will also act as a key point of contact for service partners and internal stakeholders.

Context of Opportunity / Main Accountabilities

This is an opportunity to play an important role in the effective operation of a diverse residential and mixed-use portfolio. You will combine hands-on facilities management with strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring services are responsive, well controlled and aligned with our commitment to responsible stewardship.

Your main accountabilities will include:

- Delivering day-to-day facilities management across residential assets, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant and well maintained.
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget and to agreed service standards.
- Acting as the principal operational contact for hard and soft service partners, resolving issues promptly and supporting a positive resident experience.
- Monitoring contractor performance against contractual obligations, key performance indicators and quality expectations.
- Reviewing risk assessments and method statements, managing permits and coordinating access for contractors, inspections and assessments.
- Obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders and authorising invoices while maintaining accurate financial controls.
- Coordinating minor works and supporting capital and specialist projects, with minimal disruption to residents.
- Maintaining accurate building records, logbooks, compliance documents and asset information across Vantify, Riskwise and other internal systems.
- Supporting property mobilisations and ensuring a smooth transition into ongoing operations.
- Maintaining effective emergency and incident-response arrangements, including out-of-hours readiness.
- Working with Property Managers and Block Managers to align operational delivery with asset plans and identify emerging risks, issues and opportunities.
- Maintaining statutory, regulatory, health and safety, fire safety and building safety compliance.
- Preparing and managing service charge budgets for hard and soft services, supporting financial reporting, cost control and value for money.
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality and the resident experience.
- Supporting sustainability objectives and embedding environmental, social and governance principles into day-to-day operations.
- Working collaboratively across teams and role-modelling professional, respectful and inclusive behaviours.
