We are currently seeking enthusiastic team players to become part of our dynamic Assurance team in our offices in Athens, with a specialty in sustainability. Deloitte expands its Sustainability Assurance team, having great ambitions for the future and wanting you to be a part of surging our sustainability team in our Assurance practice in Greece.

Our Assurance team provides a variety of services to respond to our clients’ needs, exploiting our experience and expertise. We provide Assurance services in relation to sustainability implementation/strategy/audit projects, complex accounting treatments under IFRS / US GAAP, implementation of new accounting standards & GAAP conversion. In addition, we help our clients in areas relating to sustainability processes and controls, by performing sustainability report diagnostics and providing business process solutions. Our palette of services also includes the Disruptive Events Assurance, covering aspects such as IPO readiness, mergers, acquisitions & carve outs as well as Business Assurance.

As a Sustainability Senior in our Assurance team will focus on the delivery of client engagements in relation to sustainability projects, by understanding objectives for clients and Deloitte, aligning your own work to objectives and setting personal priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for your own and the team’s results. In this role, you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values to put these into practice in your professional life.

During your tenure as a Sustainability Senior , you will demonstrate and develop the ability to:

- Produce a high-quality work product and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver superior client experience.
- Leading day-to-day fieldwork and keeping engagement managers updated on Sustainability Assurance engagements.
- Effectively completing assurance procedures while considering risk issues.
- Developing junior colleagues by providing on the job training in assurance skills and sustainability matters.
- Actively tracking developments in sustainability reporting frameworks and assurance standards to demonstrate exceptional technical expertise to clients and assurance teams.
- Understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business.
- Select appropriate methods for collecting and analyzing data, develop informed recommendations that shape or support the client’s business strategy.
- Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients.
- Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving.
- Address client business challenges in the intersection of process and technology.

#WinningRequirements

Specifically, candidates should possess the following attributes:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of solid work experience in Assurance or Audit
- Working experience in sustainability assurance and /or participation in sustainability advisory projects in audit & consulting firm will be considered as a strong asset.
- Very good knowledge of the ISAE 3000 (Revised) assurance methodology and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) will be considered as a strong asset.
- Holding a professional qualification (SOEL, JES, ACCA, ACA), or being in the final stage of obtaining one (please indicate number of modules remaining in your CV), will be considered an asset.
- Strong technical and auditing skills
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- University Degree in: Accounting / Auditing / Finance / Economics / Business Administration
- Master’s degree from top-tier universities in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Management, Sustainability Reporting or related subjects will be considered an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English (Proficiency)
- High level of discretion for confidential work and information
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills and ability to motivate and lead and capacity to work effectively within the team.
- Military obligations fulfilled, where applicable.
