About this role
Your mission
Hartwig is working to unlock the value of patient data for better care through interactive analytics and database services. One such product is CNXT, a platform that gives researchers and clinicians intuitive access to insights derived from the Hartwig Medical Database. As Junior Software Developer you combine hands-on software development and collaboration with our INFRA team with product ownership of Database services: translating the needs of researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders into a clear product roadmap towards a federated infrastructure.
You report to the Data Lead and work closely with colleagues from data, bioinformatics, governance and infrastructure, as well as with clinicians and pathology experts. You participate in relevant planning and discussion meetings.
## Your profile
What you’ll do
- Contribute directly to the design, development and maintenance of our Database products as a software developer.
- Grow into a Product Owner role for our Database products (like CNXT): define, prioritize and maintain the product backlog, translating research and clinical decision support needs into user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders (biotech, federation partners) to continuously improve usability and analytical value.
- Plan and coordinate releases and improvements of CNXT, balancing feasibility, timelines and stakeholder priorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across technical and data teams to ensure CNXT accurately, reliably and securely surfaces Hartwig Medical Database data, in line with Hartwig’s quality, security and data governance standards.
- Document product decisions, functionality and known issues
- Support the onboarding and training of CNXT users.

- You work in an analytical and structured way and can translate complex data and stakeholder needs into a clear product vision.
