Help shape reliable, scalable and business-critical solutions for exchange-traded listed products across the Nordic markets.
Welcome to Group Technology
At Nordea, technology powers everything we do. Within our Markets Technology organization, we deliver and support critical trading platforms that enable order management, execution, market connectivity, post-trade processing and regulatory obligations across the Nordic markets.
We are now looking for an Senior or Expert Market Connectivity & Equity Trading Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will translate complex business needs into clear, implementable technology solutions and help evolve the end-to-end trading value chain for exchange-traded listed products.
You will work closely with traders, product owners, architects, developers, testers, operations teams, external vendors and other technology stakeholders. You will combine strong capital-markets knowledge with structured analysis and technical understanding to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose, resilient and compliant.
About our team
You will become part of the Retail & Trade Reporting Technology, supporting applications and integrations used across retail, corporate and institutional trading. Our landscape includes order management and execution capabilities, market and broker connectivity, trade and order-status flows, and interfaces to downstream platforms.
We work in an end-to-end setup with close collaboration between business and technology. The environment is highly regulated and operationally critical, so quality, traceability, availability and controlled change are central to how we work.
As the Expert Market Connectivity & Equity Trading Analyst, you will take a leading analytical role in developing and maintaining trading solutions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyze and clarify business, functional and non-functional requirements for exchange-traded listed products, from order capture and validation through routing, execution, trade capture and downstream processing.
- Translate business needs into clear solution requirements, process flows, interface specifications, acceptance criteria and implementation-ready user stories.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for order management systems (OMS), trading workflows, execution venues and FIX-based connectivity.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on solution design, integration patterns, data flows and changes across the full trading value chain.
- Coordinate impact assessments and dependencies across applications, teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
- Plan and support end-to-end, integration, regression and user-acceptance testing, including analysis of defects and production issues.
- Contribute to operational stability through incident and problem analysis, root-cause investigation, control improvements and clear documentation.
- Ensure requirements and solutions consider regulatory obligations, information security, operational risk, auditability and relevant Nordea standards.
- Drive stakeholder alignment, facilitate workshops and communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor colleagues, share domain knowledge and help strengthen analytical practices across the team.
Who you are
You are an experienced analyst who knows how trading works in practice and can connect front-office needs with technology delivery. You bring structure to complex topics, challenge assumptions constructively and take ownership from initial analysis through implementation and production follow-up.
You communicate clearly, build trusted relationships and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a changing environment. You are curious, pragmatic and quality-focused, and you understand that reliable trading solutions require both strong domain knowledge and disciplined execution.
Your experience and background
We imagine that you have:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as an IT analyst, business analyst, system analyst or similar role within banking, financial services or capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of exchange-traded listed products and the end-to-end trading lifecycle.
- Hands-on understanding of order management systems (OMS), order routing, execution workflows and exchange or broker connectivity.
- Solid knowledge of the FIX protocol, including common order, execution and session-management concepts.
- Experience working across business and technology teams in complex implementation or transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting testing, implementation, production readiness and analysis of incidents or defects in business-critical systems.
- Basic working knowledge of Java and Python, together with the ability to use scripting for analysis, troubleshooting and task automation.
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have experience working with trading platforms such as Ullink, Front Arena or Bloomberg.
- Have experience with Nordic or European markets, trading venues, market data or post-trade integrations.
- Understand APIs, messaging, SQL, event-driven integration or other technologies commonly used in trading platforms.
- Have worked with agile delivery methods, product-oriented teams, CI/CD practices, monitoring or observability tools.
- Have experience with vendor platforms and internally developed trading applications.
- Can contribute to solution design discussions and explain trade-offs involving functionality, resilience, performance and operational support.

- A highly visible expert role in a business-critical technology area.

- Flexible working arrangements and a strong focus on sustainable ways of working.
- An inclusive culture built on Collaboration, Ownership, Passion and Courage.
