How do we work?

Hello Accounting Experts!

If you thrive on bringing structure to complex finances and want to drive full-cycle accounting for a global fintech, we’d love to have you on board! In this role, you will take ownership of our accounting operations, ensuring our financial statements are prepared with precision and on time. Working closely with the broader Finance Team, you will deliver key internal financial reporting and provide clear visibility into the company's financial health. You will join a 6-person Finance & Accounting Team primarily based in Warsaw, reporting directly to the Finance Director.

We work in a hybrid model - we’d love to meet you in the office 2 times a week with respect to your own commitments.

Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term employment contract (umowa o pracę).

In this role, you will:

- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, overseeing Accounts Payable, invoice processing, and payment workflows in coordination with accounting clerks.
- Lead statutory, tax, and year-end compliance, preparing annual financial statements and tax filings while serving as the primary operational contact for external auditors.
- Perform monthly ledger analysis and reconciliations, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Drive process automation and digitalization, identifying manual accounting tasks and streamlining workflows (reconciliations, invoicing, reporting) using ERP tools and modern tech solutions.
- Deliver clear financial reporting and insights for the Finance Director and senior management, conducting routine ledger account and budget variance analysis.
- Support strategic ad-hoc finance projects as required to optimize operational efficiency and support business growth.

What skillset do you need to be successful in this role?

- Min . 5 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting, but impact matters more than years.
- Deep understanding of local tax regulations (VAT, CIT), statutory reporting requirements, and accounting standards (Polish GAAP and/or IFRS).
- Fluent English & Polish.
- Strong mindset for automation - constantly looking for ways to streamline manual tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data, run variance analysis, and generate insights.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet strict deadlines, and ensure compliance with external audit standards.

Nice to have:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience within a dynamic corporate or fintech environment.
- Practical knowledge of Symfonia or similar ERP systems.
- Experience in preparing financial data for external audits in a multi-currency or global setup.

Your perspective matters. We encourage you to apply even if you are hesitant about meeting every single qualification. We are excited to see what you can bring to the team!
