STAR7 Group is looking for English <> Vietnamese simultaneous
interpreters to join its network of professionals.
The collaboration will involve simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
services from English into Vietnamese and vice versa during technical training
sessions held on-site at the client’s premises.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the
client in understanding the content delivered during technical training
sessions;
- Ensuring that the
interpretation accurately conveys the meaning and register of the source
language;
- Using aerospace
technical terminology accurately and consistently;
- Maintaining
professionalism, confidentiality and accuracy throughout each assignment.
Requirements
Main requirements:
- Degree in
Translation, Applied Linguistics, Interpreting or equivalent professional
experience;
- Native speaker of
one of the required languages, with bilingual proficiency in the other;
- Strong linguistic
and cultural knowledge of both languages;
- Proven experience
in simultaneous interpreting;
- Previous
experience in the aerospace industry or other technical fields is
preferred;
- Experience using
interpreting equipment, including interpreter consoles, portable
interpreting systems and similar devices;
- Ability to adapt
to a dynamic working environment and changing priorities;
- Ability to remain
professional under pressure;
- Strong
decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Availability to
work on-site at our client’s premises for several days/weeks in a row.
