About this role

Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global company of experts in energy, chemicals, and natural resources, based in Australia. We work alongside our clients to develop projects and create value throughout the life cycle of their assets. We specialize in consulting, engineering, procurement, and construction throughout the entire project life cycle, with services extending to operations and decommissioning. By leveraging our extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we help our clients navigate complexity while meeting current needs and moving toward more sustainable solutions.

Rol Purpose: Develop basic and detailed engineering of onshore and offshore platforms for crude oil and/or gas extraction, ensuring technical integrity, design safety, sustainable designs and regulatory compliance, constructability and correct multidisciplinary integration.

Key Accountabilities:

- Works independently at an advanced level completing a wide variety of assignments through the application of advanced engineering theories, techniques, and practices. Has substantial knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables. May provide discipline supervision for one larger or one or more smaller projects.
- The required expertise includes OLGA & DNVGL SPS desirable expertise on PIPESIM, PIPEPHASE, AFT impulse, and Pipeline STUDIO simulators.
- Flow assurance studies based on the philosophy of Maximize production and Minimize risk
- Experienced on Successful production system design and operations requires a detailed understanding of multiphase flow behavior.
- OLGA dynamic multiphase flow simulator models time-dependent behavior or transients’ flow, to maximize production potential
- Dynamic simulation of deep-water for both onshore and offshore and onshore developments to investigate transient behavior in pipelines and wellbores.
- Transient simulation with Olga to steady state analysis by predicting system dynamics such as time-varying changes in flow rates, fluid composition, temperature, solids deposition and operational changes.
- From wellbore dynamics for any well completion to pipeline systems with all types of process equipment, the OLGA simulator provides an accurate prediction of key operational conditions involving transients’ flow.

Key flow simulation applications as:

- Liquid Handling
- Sizing Pipelines
- Sizing Separators and Slug Catchers
- Managing Solids
- Simulating key operational procedures including start-up, shut-down, and pigging.
- Modeling for contingency planning.
- Assessing environmental risk in complex deep-water environments.
- Development of scopes of work in consultation with your client representatives - Facilities Engineers, Project Engineers and Operations personnel.
- Equipment sizing and specification, selection and vendor consultation;
- Participation in HAZID & HAZOP studies and review;
- Process modelling using the relevant standard simulation packages HYSYS, ASPEN, METSIM etc. for the respective industrial applications;
- Preparation of P&IDs, overseeing the maintenance of datasheets and ensuring process design schedules are consistent with the project plan;
- Interfacing with the multi-discipline design Leads to ensure workflows are maintained according to the master schedule.
