Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure design manufacturing feasibility and packaging of Seat structure components as per customer and CFT requirements.

- Create and r eview of 3D CAD and make sure is meeting standard design guidelines.

- Review 2D drawings and make sure GD&T apply as per standard.

- Engineering reviews/meetings within team, customer, manufacturing teams and suppliers.

- Should well be aware about PLM/Teamcenter data management.

- Maintain and publish open issues list, ensure proper closure of all open issues in timely manner.

- Follow Magna seating and customer specific processes, standards, guidelines and meet quality and delivery targets in day-to-day customer deliverables.

- Understand customer requirements, clarify inputs, and perform the tasks accordingly.

- Lead team to design & development Seat structures and mechanisms as per requirement.

- Review and approve seat structure and mechanism study using kinematics/Motion file to perform packaging studies.

- Perform regulatory (AIS, ECE, FMVSS) and complete seat studies.

- Flexibility in working with other BU’s as and when required.

- Adherence to the departmental processes (Checklist etc.).

- Resolve the queries with Project lead / Customer.

- Deliver data to customer with clear communication.

- Follow the PDP process and make sure to complete all deliverable on timely basis.

- Guide team members for delivering work on timely basis and support to lead in q uality Checking.

- Learn and gain product knowledge.

- Suggest ideas that will improve the existing work processes and guidelines.

- Ensure adherence to company, departmental and health and safety systems and policies to meet legislative requirements.

- Ensuring the workload distribution to meet delivery targets.

- Prepare SORs as per customers specifications.

- Ensure stackups and tolerances as per GD&T best practices.

- Conduct reviews with suppliers and at plant.

- Should be flexible to travel to customer, supplier locations.

- To attend physical testing.
