About this role
At St. Luke's , our patients come from all walks of life, and so do we. We are committed to fostering an environment that values the unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives of our team members. Together, we deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to the communities we serve.
Join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team and play a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable patients and their families. In this role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily operations of the unit, and support the care team through Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities.
About the NICU
The NICU is one of the largest units within the hospital, caring for newborns and infants who require specialized medical and surgical care immediately after birth. Patients range from extremely premature infants to those experiencing complications during their transition to life outside the womb.
As a Level IV NICU , we provide the highest level of neonatal care and treat infants requiring complex medical management, specialized therapies, and surgical interventions, including gastrointestinal, neurological, and musculoskeletal procedures. We serve as a regional referral and transport center, receiving patients from across Idaho and surrounding states, while also supporting high-risk deliveries within our hospital.
Our multidisciplinary team includes neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other specialists who provide around-the-clock care. The unit is staffed with 24/7 in-house Neonatology coverage , creating a highly collaborative learning environment for caregivers interested in pediatric and neonatal care.
