Change the world of tomorrow with us.

Our Siemens business unit Automation (DI AUT) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Automation. This includes around 20,000 employees and four business segments. With its global production sites, R&D, and service locations, AUT is close to its customers and at home in a wide range of industries. At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry, and in the field of intra-logistics.

Based in Oradea, we are looking for a Test Design Engineer to ensure the flawless operation of our complex motor testing systems, drive architecture modifications, and lead design changes for New Product Introduction (NPI) and optimization of existing test equipments.

This will be your impact:

- Test System Operations & Reliability: You will ensure that our complex electric motor testing systems run smoothly, troubleshooting anomalies, resolving issues, and guaranteeing high availability for production.
- Architecture & Design Changes (NPI): You know the architecture of our test systems inside out and can perform design changes, upgrades, and adaptations as needed, especially for New Product Introduction (NPI) or product variants.
- Implementation & Validation: You will independently implement hardware and software modifications, thoroughly validate the updated testing systems, and ensure they meet all quality and safety standards.
- Test Software Development: You will develop, maintain, and optimize test software and measurement applications (primarily using LabVIEW and complemented by C# scripting language).
- Project Management & Procurement: You will act as technical project manager for test equipment procurement and transfer, keeping in touch with external suppliers of testing equipment when needed.
- Digitalization & Data Integration: Together with our central DEV/OPS team, you will connect machines, test benches, and sensors to our data ecosystem, supporting decision-making and optimization through data analytics, visualization, and modern technologies.

This is how you'll win us over:

- You have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or a comparable technical field, backed by professional experience in a production or design testing environment.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in LabVIEW for test measurement and automation, complemented by experience with medium-level programming languages (such as C, C++ or C#).
- System Understanding: Deep understanding of test bench architecture, data acquisition (DAQ) systems, sensors, power electronics, and drive technology.
- Design & Validation Mindset: Proven ability to analyze test setups, design and implement hardware/software changes, and perform rigorous validation (ideal for NPI processes).
- Language Skills: Very good proficiency in English (spoken & written) is an absolute must since you work in an international environment.
- Autonomy & Problem Solving: Able to work autonomously and act as a proactive problem solver with effective diagnostic and implementation skills.
- Teamwork & Continuous Learning: You value teamwork and openness, bring a high willingness to learn, and are passionate about improvements, digitalization, and innovation.
- Mobility: Business trips to Germany for alignment and technology transfer are not a problem for you.

What do we offer:

In addition to exciting work opportunities in a brand-new, state-of-the-art engineering environment, we place special emphasis on a healthy work-life balance; continuous learning and development of our employees is important to us - we believe this is key to our success.
