About this role

Since 1916, The Settlement Home for Children has been promoting healing and growth in children, young adults, and families by providing a continuum of care, support, and resources to those who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse, or neglect — with a vision of ending the cycle of child abuse.

The  Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for cultivating and managing volunteers, partners and donors of goods and services—managing a workload designed to support programming at The Settlement Home for Children. Our Volunteer Coordinator makes connections in the community to support our programming. Part event coordinator, part data clerk. Monday might be Amazon wish lists, Tuesday might be Volunteer Training, Wednesday is setting up for a luncheon, Thursday is sorting through boxes of décor, Friday is making calls and sending emails all day to find volunteers for upcoming events. And every day you will be learning new things, taking good notes and making it work with enthusiasm. Training will be provided!
