The Pontiac Library Branch has one of the first StoryScapes, which has helped to promote early literacy. It also features a Studio at the Library with equipment for patrons of all ages to learn to use. The pay range for this position is $20.51 - $24.00 (dependent on experience) and offers great benefits such as Medical, Dental, and Vision from day one! About the role

As a Librarian, you will have outreach focus, provide the Studios programs, and customer service support. You'll engage with patrons through various programming opportunities, help maintain patron accounts, making it easy for them to update, renew materials, and manage fines and fees. Plus, you'll welcome new faces by registering library cards and fostering a sense of belonging in our community.

What you need to be successful

To excel as a Librarian, you'll need the following:

- A blend of programming skills and a passion for service.

- Familiarity with the principles and practices of library sciences and services will be key in providing top-notch support to our patrons.

- Strong written communication skills, as you'll prepare informative educational materials that engage and inspire.

- Organizational skills will come in handy for effective records management and maintaining compliance with standard office practices.
