Overview
Marriott Pittsburgh City Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Receiving & Banquet Support Attendant to assist with daily receiving operations and banquet functions. Responsibilities include handling incoming deliveries, transporting and organizing supplies, setting up and breaking down meeting and event spaces, and moving furniture and equipment as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing material-handling tasks, and willing to support multiple departments based on operational needs.

Receiving & Delivery Support
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and transporting deliveries, including food, beverages, linens, equipment, and hotel supplies.
- Move deliveries to designated departments and storage locations.
- Organize and maintain receiving areas, loading docks, and storage spaces.
- Assist with verifying incoming deliveries and reporting missing or damaged items.
- Properly store and rotate supplies, including refrigerated and frozen items, following hotel food safety procedures.
- Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment safely.
- Maintain clean and unobstructed delivery and storage areas.
Banquet & Event Support
- Set up meeting rooms and banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Arrange tables, chairs, staging, linens, and event equipment.
- Break down event spaces and return furniture and equipment to designated storage areas.
- Assist with moving and arranging banquet supplies and service equipment.
- Support room turnovers and last-minute event setup changes.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked banquet storage areas.
- Work closely with Banquet Managers and Conference Services to ensure event spaces are prepared on time.
General Responsibilities
- Follow proper lifting techniques and hotel safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Receiving, Banquets, Culinary, and Engineering teams.
- Prioritize assignments based on daily deliveries and scheduled events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to guests and associates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
