Summary
Job Description:
10 hour shifts/ 6:30 AM to 5PM
The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing and supervising the unit activities for a specified shift.
- Assesses unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers.
- Develops assignment of licensed/non-licensed that ensures adequate deliver of care
- Manages patient flow to include admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Addresses patient and staff concerns during shift
- Duties as assigned by Director
Requirements
- Three to five years of job-related experience
- Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing
