This role leads campaign workstreams with autonomy, turning pursuit and customer priorities into coordinated media plans, high-quality campaign execution, and clear performance insights. The position is a subject matter expert in LinkedIn advertising and an active partner to business development, Winning Strategy Teams (WSTs), and marketing counterparts across Mortenson.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Targeted Campaign Strategy and Planning

• Partner with the Targeted Campaigns Manager to translate pursuit, customer and business priorities into paid media strategies, audience approaches, campaign objectives and measurement plans.

• Coordinate campaign plans with operating group marketing and business development partners, including objectives, audiences, budgets, creative and copy requirements, flight dates, approvals and reporting cadence.

• Support WSTs and other priority pursuits by helping teams use targeted media to strengthen pre-RFP positioning, reach key decision-makers and reinforce customer-focused messaging.

• Contribute research and platform insight that informs audience feasibility, channel selection, campaign timing and the role of paid media within the broader pursuit strategy.

Campaign Build, Execution and Optimization

• Build, launch and manage paid media campaigns from approved plans, including audience development, campaign configuration, ad trafficking, quality assurance, tracking validation and ongoing optimization.

• Apply deep knowledge of LinkedIn Campaign Manager, LinkedIn audience capabilities, ad formats, platform policies and reporting to deliver accurate, efficient and brand-aligned campaigns.

• Monitor pacing, delivery, audience reach, engagement and budget utilization; identify issues early and recommend practical adjustments based on campaign objectives and pursuit context.

• Maintain organized campaign documentation and ensure work is accurate, timely and aligned with Mortenson brand, privacy and data-use expectations.

Reporting, Insights and Business Partnership

• Build clear, audience-appropriate reports and presentations that translate campaign data into actionable insights for business development, marketing and group leadership.

• Connect media performance to the intended customer audience and pursuit strategy, clearly distinguishing what the data demonstrates from directional signals or areas requiring additional context.

• Present findings and recommendations to internal partners and respond to questions with a practical understanding of paid media, customer targeting and B2B decision-making.

• Create case studies and recurring views of performance that help demonstrate impact, improve future campaign planning and strengthen organizational understanding of targeted campaigns.

Best Practices, Learning and Innovation

• Document campaign processes, test plans, reporting standards, lessons learned and reusable best practices; maintain resources that support consistent, scalable delivery.

• Share learnings across Sales + Marketing, operating groups and other internal partners through concise guidance, examples, training and consultation.

• Test new LinkedIn formats, features, targeting approaches and measurement capabilities using defined hypotheses and success criteria.

• Evaluate additional advertising channels and emerging capabilities where they may improve reach, relevance, efficiency or insight for Mortenson’s B2B audiences.

• Use campaign results, stakeholder feedback and platform changes to recommend ongoing process and capability improvements.

Collaboration and Project Delivery

• Lead assigned campaign workstreams with autonomy while maintaining alignment with the Targeted Campaigns Manager on strategy, priorities, risks and major optimization decisions.

• Build productive relationships across business development, marketing, brand, digital performance and pursuit teams; adapt communication for partners with varying levels of paid media expertise.

• Manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a dynamic environment, escalating constraints or risks that could affect quality, budget or schedule.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Analytics or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, campaign management, marketing analytics or sales enablement in a business setting.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience planning, building, optimizing and reporting on LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
• Experience partnering with business development, sales, account teams or pursuit teams in a B2B services environment preferred.
• Experience supporting complex, high-value or account-based campaigns preferred.
• Deep working knowledge of LinkedIn advertising, including Campaign Manager, audience design, B2B targeting, campaign objectives, ad formats, budget and bid management, optimization, experimentation and performance reporting.

• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to interpret media data, identify meaningful patterns and explain limitations without overstating conclusions.
• Ability to build clear, concise, executive-ready reports and presentations for non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with ownership of timelines, budgets, quality and assigned workstreams.
• Effective written, verbal and presentation skills; active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines, operating groups and organizational levels while maintaining customer and business context.
• Curiosity and initiative to test new ideas, learn emerging advertising capabilities and turn findings into repeatable improvements.
