About Sellers Dorsey

Sellers Dorsey is a healthcare impact strategy firm focused on improving care access, quality, and outcomes for our nation’s most vulnerable populations. We work with providers, managed care organizations, state entities, and others, to design, implement, fund, and optimize sustainable programs that deliver maximum impact to underserved communities. Built on decades of experience in Medicaid, our team includes former state Medicaid directors, healthcare policy experts, health plan execs, and hospital leaders who know how to navigate the complexities of the system and find creative, impactful solutions that drive the greatest impact for the individuals and communities that need it most.

About the Role

Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Finance Manager who will serve as the strategic finance counterpart to Regional VPs and business-line leaders, translating financial and operational data into decisions that improve growth, margin, and measurable ROI. As the Finance Manager, you will own business-unit budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis; advise on pricing, resource allocation, and investment decisions across the contracted backlog and pipeline; and build the financial models, dashboards, and executive and Board-level materials that leadership relies on. You will work closely with Accounting to ensure reported results are accurate and well understood, and with FP&A and Technology to standardize data and automate reporting through NetSuite and BI tools, supporting the firm's shift to data-driven, product-enabled advisory operations. You will also address ad-hoc and strategic requests from senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Business Leaders on Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting: Serve as the primary finance partner to Regional VPs and business-line leaders. Lead the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for assigned business units, translating revenue projections, expense variances, and risk assessments into clear, actionable guidance. Roll results up into consolidated P&L analyses for Executive Leadership and Board review, ensuring alignment with firm strategy.
- Deliver Decision-Support Analytics and Performance Insights: Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and KPIs that give business leaders a clear view of performance versus plan. Analyze revenue, margin, cash flow, and trends; explain the drivers behind results; and recommend actions that support operational and strategic initiatives. Present findings to leadership at multiple levels of the organization.
- Advise on Utilization, Pricing, Backlog, and Pipeline: Analyze staff utilization, project profitability, and operational metrics to optimize resource allocation and project pricing. Support proposal and deal pricing, assess margin and risk, and monitor contracted backlog and pipeline to surface risks and opportunities. Build business cases and track return on firm investments, including new services, to move value reporting from anecdotal to measurable.
- Partner with Accounting on Close, Reporting Accuracy, and Controls : Work with Accounting through the monthly, quarterly, and annual close to review business-unit results, explain variances, and confirm revenue, cost, and accruals are accurately reflected. Support compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, and escalate complex issues with a high degree of latitude.
- Leverage NetSuite Expertise to Standardize and Automate Reporting : Support the firmwide transition to the ERP system. Standardize financial data and reporting workflows and automate recurring analysis through ERP functionality, BI, and automation tools to give business partners reliable, self-serve visibility.
- Additional Strategic Projects and Ad-Hoc Leadership Requests .
