About this role
Job Description and Requirements
We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have built your career driving revenue at accounts where the stakes are high and the relationships are layered. You know that closing a deal at a strategic enterprise account is not about a single conversation, it is about understanding how engineering teams work, what keeps their executives' directors up at night, and where your solution fits into a roadmap they have not finished writing yet. You do not wait for someone to hand you a account plan. You build it yourself, test it, refine it, and run it until the business moves.
Working across functions comes naturally to you. You have sat in rooms with field engineers, product teams, and executives, translating between what the customer needs and what your company can deliver without losing the thread of either. You are comfortable operating independently, but you know when to pull in the right people and how to make collaboration feel like momentum, not process.
At Synopsys, you will work on accounts that matter. The culture is collaborative, and the expectation is that you will take ownership and deliver.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the full sales cycle for software products across one or more top-tier strategic accounts
- Build and execute account-specific sales campaigns that align product capabilities with customer engineering priorities and business outcomes
- Partner closely with field application engineers, product specialists, and executive stakeholders to shape deals and advance opportunities
- Develop deep relationships with technical and business leaders at your accounts, understanding their workflows, pain points, and long-term roadmaps
- Drive revenue growth through a combination of new business development, expansion, and strategic upsell within your assigned accounts
- Coordinate cross-functional resources across Synopsys to support complex, multi-threaded sales cycles
- Report on pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and account strategy to leadership with clarity and accountability
The Impact You Will Have
- You will own revenue outcomes and directly contribute to company growth targets"
- Your ability to run disciplined sales campaigns will set the standard for how the team approaches strategic enterprise selling
- The relationships you build will create long-term partnership opportunities that extend beyond individual deals
- Your collaboration with internal teams will help shape how Synopsys delivers value to customers at scale
- You will help define what great account management looks like on a high-performing team with a strong culture of knowledge sharing
- The deals you close will enable some of the most advanced semiconductor and AI development happening in the industry today
What You'll Need
- Proven track record driving and closing sales campaigns at large strategic enterprise accounts, ideally in software, EDA, or technical solutions
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with both technical and executive buyers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and operate as a self-starter in a high-expectation environment
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect product capabilities to customer business objectives
- Comfort working across internal functions including field engineering, product, and leadership to move deals forward
- Experience in semiconductor, EDA, or related technical industries is a strong plus
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to Sunnyvale, CA and work closely with a local team
Who You Are
- You can walk into a customer meeting with incomplete information and still move the conversation forward because you ask the right questions and listen well
- You do not need someone to tell you what to do next, you see the gap, build the plan, and execute without waiting for permission
- You are comfortable presenting to a VP of Engineering one day and coordinating technical details with a staff engineer the next, and you do not lose context when you switch
- You thrive in environments where collaboration is real, not performative, and you actively share what you learn with your team
- You care about the outcome more than the activity, and you know the difference between being busy and driving business
