General Purpose
Physician as the Lead Physician shall provide medical leadership to the Gynecological Oncology Program; support program development, refinement, and referral base growth of the service; and acts as liaison to the medical staff on issues pertaining to gynecological oncology related services.
Essential Duties:
Physician shall be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Hospital has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position without written consent of Physician. Physician shall perform the duties listed below:
• Work with the Administrative Director to develop plans; set goals and objectives, timetables, and standards for management of services.
• Assist with the development, review, and approval of policies and procedures.
• Assess clinically-related activities, assuming the responsibility for continuous quality improvement.
• Assume responsibility to resolve issues and problems related to the gynecological oncology clinical practice.
• Assist in the development of a system to assure multi-disciplinary, customer-oriented, quality patient care.
• Participate in credentialing activities as requested by Medical Staff.
• Work with Administrative Director to establish methods to measure, communicate, and improve patient and provider satisfaction.
• Assure Gynecological Oncology Program documentation is completed in timely manner.
• Review and recommends the acquisition of new and replacement equipment and facility modifications.
• Provide consultation services and programs for Hospital affiliates.
• Attend UMH-Sparrow Medical Leadership meetings and activities.
• Work collegially with Cancer Center physicians to assist with the achievement of oncology clinical goals.
• Participate on Cancer Committee and contributes toward the success of CoC accreditation patient care improvement initiatives or quality studies.
• Be responsible for Gynecological Oncology Tumor Board Leadership.
