About this role

Company Description

Vuori is re-defining what athletic apparel looks like: built to move and sweat in but designed with a casual aesthetic to transition into everyday life. We draw inspiration from an active coastal California lifestyle; an integration of fitness, creative expression and life. Our high energy fast paced retail environment is reflected in the clothes we make. We aim to inspire others to take on all aspects of their lives with clarity, enthusiasm and purpose…while having a lot of fun along the way. We are proud to be an outlet for opportunity and for personal growth and success.

Job Description

Vuori is looking for a Product Manager to join our Product & Merchandising Analytics pod, supporting Product Development, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Wholesale, and Supply Chain, in partnership with ERP and business systems teams.

You will partner with the Director to shape the analytics roadmap and independently lead initiatives from discovery through delivery and adoption. Your work will support decisions across the product lifecycle, including product cost and margin, assortment strategy, planning, distribution, and inventory management.

You will work directly with business leaders, analytics leads, engineers, and reporting developers to identify problems worth solving and deliver the data and tools needed to solve them. We’re looking for someone who can challenge assumptions, navigate competing priorities, and turn an open-ended business question into a clearly scoped solution. You should be equally comfortable discussing business tradeoffs with senior leaders and working through metric definitions and data requirements with the delivery team.

What you'll get to do:

- Shape the roadmap and own initiatives. Partner with the Director to define priorities for Product & Merchandising Analytics, independently managing initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and day-to-day product decisions.
- Lead discovery. Understand how teams make decisions and where they encounter friction. Challenge assumptions and determine whether the right solution is reporting, improved data, automation, or a change to the workflow.
- Prioritize for business value. Evaluate requests based on business impact, urgency, effort, and dependencies. Recommend what to pursue, defer, or stop, and secure alignment when needs compete.
- Define what needs to be built. Translate business questions and operational workflows into clear requirements, metric definitions, data needs, and acceptance criteria. Establish scope and success measures before development begins.
- Drive delivery with the scrum team. Own the product backlog and partner with engineers and reporting developers on sprint planning, scope decisions, and issue resolution to keep work moving.
- Establish reliable data and consistent definitions. Partner with business owners and engineering to connect product, assortment, planning, sales, inventory, purchase order, and ERP data. Resolve conflicting definitions, validate results, and make data limitations clear.
- Lead validation, rollout, and adoption. Coordinate business testing, resolve issues before release, and ensure teams understand how to use solutions within their existing workflows.
- Own outcomes after launch. Use adoption, business feedback, and agreed success measures to assess impact, guide improvements, and retire reporting that is no longer needed.
- Manage cross-team dependencies. Coordinate with other analytics pods and business systems teams on shared metrics, data definitions, and delivery dependencies, avoiding conflicting solutions and duplicate work.
- Apply AI where it adds value. Identify opportunities for AI-enabled insights and workflow automation. Prototype and validate ideas, partnering with Engineering and DS&AI on Product-led, jointly built, or Engineering-led solutions as appropriate. Use approved AI tools in your own work to improve discovery, specifications, analysis, and prototyping.
- Keep stakeholders informed and decisions moving. Communicate priorities, progress, tradeoffs, and risks clearly. Bring recommendations, surface decisions that need leadership input, and escalate issues before they become delivery blockers.

Qualifications

Who you are:

- 5+ years of experience in product management, analytics, BI, or a senior analyst role, ideally supporting product, merchandising, planning, wholesale, or supply chain functions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills. You can lead discussions with senior leaders, gather requirements across functions, and turn competing needs into tangible, aligned outcomes.
- Very strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of retail and product lifecycle analytics, including assortment, seasonality, product cost, margin, sell-through, inventory productivity, and demand and supply planning. DTC, apparel, retail, or branded consumer goods experience is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with a data semantic layer or modern BI platform, such as MicroStrategy, Looker, Power BI semantic models, dbt Semantic Layer, Cube, or equivalent.
- Ability to translate business processes into data and analytics requirements, including metric design and definition, data grain, hierarchies, relationships, data quality, edge cases, and versioning.
- Experience building analytics products for both leadership and operational users, with an understanding of how to drive adoption and turn data into decisions.
- Awareness of AI applications in analytics, including automated insights, semantic search, natural language to SQL, and workflow automation, with a willingness to prototype, experiment, and use AI tools in your own workflow.
