About this role

Houseman’s primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the hotel.
The duties and responsibilities of a Houseman include:
• Clean and maintain public areas of the establishment like lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
• Assist room attendants by removing trash and dirty linens from guest rooms
• Restock supplies such as toiletries, linen and other amenities in rooms and common areas
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
• Assist Front Desk with Guests
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks, like carpet shampooing or washing windows, as needed
• Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses periodically
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Chief Engineer
• May assist with laundry duties like washing, drying, and folding linens
• Also, any other duties that may arise
• Must be available weekends

Responsibilities
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
• Assist with moving furniture and heavy equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and parking lot
• Support housekeeping staff and front desk with tasks as needed
• Perform routine minor maintenance tasks and repairs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Provide assistance to guests and respond to their requests

Qualifications
• Previous experience in a cleaning or general labor role preferred
• Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
