Chemistry is the invisible layer under every critical system, and the supply chain behind it has become a weapon. Ohr makes the molecules that matter most, from the atom up: energetics, propellants, rare-earth extractants and the ignition chemicals already in production today.

The Creationary Hackathon is how we're finding the early-career chemists who will build these molecules with us, and the problems below come straight from the work we do every day.

Who You Are

Chemists finishing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in 2027, or up to three years out. Organic, inorganic, physical, materials, and chemical engineering backgrounds all welcome. You are energized by solving differently.

The Process

Solve the challenge. Submit your response and complete the application form. Selected winners will be invited to an all-expenses paid onsite hackathon at our lab in Colorado in early 2027 for final rounds.

Compensation

Internships - Undergraduate: $28 – $36 per hour • This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Placement within the posted range is based on year of study, relevant coursework and research experience, and track. Overtime is paid in accordance with Colorado law. Relocation assistance offered for interns joining from outside the Denver–Boulder metro. Benefits Paid sick leave accrues at one hour per 30 hours worked, in accordance with the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. This position is not eligible for health, retirement, or paid time off benefits.
