Dedicated flatbed routes and steady freight movement provide experienced CDL-A steel haulers with a consistent operation throughout the week. Drivers handle specialized stainless-steel freight, use equipment configured for the account, and receive planned backhauls along with $2,000 to $2,100 per week and weekend home time.

A Week on the Account

Outbound freight is picked up near Calvert, Alabama, with available backhaul loads helping maintain productive movement after deliveries.

What You'll Haul

Drivers transport smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets. Loads are primarily live loaded and live unloaded.

Approximately 75% of loads require tarping
Lightweight six-foot drop tarps are used
Tarp compensation is included in the account's pay program

Previous steel-hauling, tarping, and load-securement experience is required for the freight handled on this account.

Equipment Built for the Freight

Assigned newer-model Kenworth T680 tractors are paired with 2025 Extreme flatbed trailers equipped specifically for the dedicated operation.

Drivers remain with the same trailer throughout each trip.

Compensation & Sign-On Bonus

Drivers receive $2,000 to $2,100 per week. Qualified drivers are also eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The schedule provides home time every weekend for a 34-hour reset.

Before Your First Load

Orientation is held Monday through Thursday and pays $100 per day. Hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements are provided.

Drivers move into their assigned equipment after orientation and begin operating on the dedicated account.

Required Experience

Valid CDL-A license
Minimum one year of OTR experience within the last five years
Minimum six months of flatbed experience
Steel-hauling experience required
Current coil-hauling certification required
Tarping and load-securement experience required
Acceptable driving record required
