About this role
The Strategic Planning position is responsible for developing long-term external FE capacity plans and strategies to support onsemi's growth objectives. This role partners closely with Business Units, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to understand capacity requirements and proactively secure manufacturing capacity with external foundries.
The successful candidate will analyze forecast trends, evaluate capacity constraints, assess supply risks, and recommend strategies that ensure adequate wafer capacity is available to meet future business needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain, capacity planning, or semiconductor manufacturing. Technical background can be a plus
- Experience working with semiconductor foundries with knowledge of manufacturing process, cycle time, supply chain, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools especially with AI.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence decisions in a cross-functional environment.
