Senior Telecom Engineer – Stavanger

Responsibilities

- Daily follow-up and operational support of existing IT, OT and telecom infrastructure
- Perform technical surveys and establish the basis for design and installation
- Support and coordinate offshore connectivity solutions including radiolink/LoS, Starlink, T-FAST, 4G/5G and subsea fiber
- Coordinate rig intake, onboarding and migration to standardized solutions
- Design and coordinate IT/OT networks , including switches, cabling, fiber, VLANs and firewall infrastructure
- Follow up telecom and OT systems such as TETRA, CCTV, Personnel Tracking Systems (PTS) and AV systems
- Facilitate and troubleshoot data flows for real-time drilling and third-party services
- Coordinate vendors, rig owners and technical disciplines throughout survey, design, installation and commissioning

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

- Solid experience with IT, OT and telecom infrastructure within the oil & gas industry
- Strong knowledge of offshore communication networks, including radiolink, satellite connectivity, 4G/5G and fiber
- Hands-on experience with network design, VLANs, firewalls, switches and hardware installation
- Experience or good understanding of critical offshore telecom systems such as TETRA and CCTV
- Familiarity with real-time drilling data flows, such as WITSML
- Experience coordinating vendors and working across multiple technical disciplines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
