About this role
We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Director to lead procurement strategy and execution for major, complex projects in the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia .
The ideal candidate will be a Western-educated procurement professional with approximately 25 years of experience , including significant exposure to mega projects and preferably a strong PMC (Project Management Consultancy) background .
Requirements
- 25+ years of progressive procurement experience , preferably within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or major capital projects.
- Western education from a recognized university/institution.
- Proven track record managing procurement for mega projects in the GCC .
- Strong PMC experience is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing procurement strategies for large, complex projects.
- Strong understanding of contracts, tendering, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and supply-chain management .
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multicultural procurement teams and work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of GCC procurement practices, market conditions, and major international suppliers/contractors.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working on high-value, fast-paced projects with demanding delivery schedules.
