Job Responsibilities
- Contracts: Draft, review and negotiate standard commercial agreements — customer sales and service contracts, NDAs, purchase orders, vendor and consultant agreements — using approved templates and playbooks; escalate deviations appropriately.
- Tenders: Review public and private tender documents for legal and compliance risk; support bid teams on deviations, bank guarantees and contract conditions.
- Channel partners: Support onboarding, due diligence, agreement execution and periodic reviews of distributors and channel partners.
- Litigation support: Maintain the litigation tracker; coordinate with external counsel on filings, hearings and documentation; prepare case summaries for management reporting.
- Compliance: Support the India Compliance programme — HCP interaction approvals, third-party due diligence, policy roll-out and training logistics.
- Regulatory & secretarial: Track developments under the Medical Devices Rules, DPDP Act, Companies Act and related regimes; assist with board documentation, statutory filings and entity compliance calendars.
- Legal operations: Maintain contract repositories, template libraries and matter management records; support legal team reporting and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- LL.B. from a recognised Indian university; enrolled with a State Bar Council.
- 12 years’ post-qualification experience at a law firm or in-house, with exposure to commercial contracts and general corporate work.
- Working knowledge of Indian contract, company and commercial law; familiarity with healthcare, medtech or other regulated sectors is an advantage.
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple matters against deadlines.
- Fluency in English; comfort working with cross-functional and international teams.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
