About this role
Shape growth through strategic transactions
Do you combine financial expertise with commercial judgement and the ability to lead complex transactions? Join Straumann Group and help shape our M&A agenda across EMEA, from assessing new opportunities and executing transactions to supporting integration and tracking value creation.
As a senior member of the regional finance leadership team, you will partner closely with the Regional Finance Officer EMEA, Global Business Development, country and business leaders, and global functions. Your insights and recommendations will inform executive decisions and help strengthen growth, performance and operating effectiveness across the region.
Your responsibilities
- Identify and financially assess acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic partnerships across EMEA, evaluating strategic fit, financial returns, risks, synergies and funding requirements.
- Drive end-to-end transaction execution, including valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation and closing.
- Oversee financial due diligence, including quality-of-earnings analysis, working capital, debt-like items, purchase price mechanisms and transaction scenarios.
- Prepare investment cases and present clear recommendations to regional and global executive teams and approval committees.
- Coordinate internal and external advisers and workstreams across finance, tax, legal, commercial, operations, technology and people matters. Maintain transaction governance, confidentiality, documentation and approvals in line with company policies and applicable requirements.
- Partner with business leaders to develop integration, synergy and value-creation plans with clear baselines, milestones, ownership and reporting. Monitor post-close performance against the investment case and escalate risks or deviations.
- Build a qualified deal pipeline through market mapping, target identification and sector analysis. Support strategic finance initiatives, including financial validation of pricing strategies and go-to-market models.
What you bring
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline. An MBA, CFA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Significant experience in M&A, corporate development, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity or a comparable finance leadership role.
- A track record of leading transactions across multiple stages, including valuation, due diligence, negotiation support, closing and integration.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, accounting and investment-case skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a multinational environment, with familiarity with EMEA markets and the financial, tax, legal and regulatory considerations relevant to cross-border transactions.
- Experience working with senior executives and presenting recommendations to investment or governance committees, supported by clear communication and strong influencing skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and willingness to travel within the region as business needs require. Additional languages are an advantage.
How you work
You bring strategic and commercial judgement, rigorous analysis and disciplined execution. You assess risks carefully, uphold sound governance and keep complex projects moving across multiple stakeholders and markets. You build effective relationships, lead through collaboration and adapt confidently as priorities evolve.
Your place in the team
You will report directly to the Regional Finance Officer EMEA and collaborate closely with the Global Business Development Team and EMEA Leadership Team. This role leads transactions and projects across countries and functions and has no direct reports.
