About this role
Gulf Coast College is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team. Our janitorial staff help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
- Clean windows, doors, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Follow cleaning schedules and safely use and store cleaning products and equipment.
- Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and supply shortages.
- Assist with other routine cleaning and campus upkeep as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks.
- Professional and respectful conduct when interacting with students and employees.
- Ability to perform essential cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning supplies and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Available Schedules
Full-time and part-time positions are available for day and evening shifts. Weekends may be required. Please indicate your preferred schedule and availability when applying.
