About this role
We are looking for a Presales Consultant with experience in card issuing and card processing to support customer opportunities across Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the earlier stages of their presales career who already understands the cards and payments ecosystem and wants to deepen their commercial and technical expertise. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, shape appropriate solutions and clearly articulate how those solutions address customer needs.
You don't need decades of experience. We are looking for someone with strong foundations, curiosity and the ability to translate payments technology into clear customer value.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the presales lifecycle , from initial discovery and qualification through solution discussions, demonstrations and proposal support.
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their business requirements, challenges and objectives.
- Apply your knowledge of card issuing and processing to help shape solutions that meet customer needs.
- Deliver clear and compelling solution presentations and demonstrations to both technical and business audiences.
- Work collaboratively with sales and relevant technical/product stakeholders throughout customer engagements.
- Respond to customer requirements and support the development of proposals and other presales materials.
- Translate technical capabilities and payments concepts into clear business benefits.
- Build your knowledge of the wider payments ecosystem and develop into a trusted subject-matter resource for customers and colleagues.
Must-Have Experience
We're specifically looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Hands-on knowledge or professional experience within card issuing and/or card processing.
- Previous experience in a presales, solutions consulting or comparable customer-facing solutions role.
- Understanding of the cards/payments ecosystem and how issuing and processing solutions support customers.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into relevant solution conversations.
- Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders .
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Up to 7 years' relevant professional experience , reflecting the junior-to-mid-level scope of the position.
- Based in, or able to work in, Sweden .
Nice to Have
These aren't essential, but would be valuable:
- Experience supporting customer presentations, demonstrations or solution workshops.
- Exposure to banks, financial institutions, fintechs or other organisations operating within the payments ecosystem.
- Experience responding to customer requirements as part of a commercial sales process.
- Broader knowledge of payments technology beyond card issuing and processing.
What Good Looks Like
You'll be a good match if you combine payments knowledge with a customer mindset . You understand card issuing/processing well enough to have credible conversations with customers, but you are still keen to learn, develop your technical depth and grow your presales career.
We're particularly interested in someone who can listen to a customer's problem, understand what they are trying to achieve, and communicate a relevant solution in a way that is clear and engaging.
Why This Role
This role gives you the opportunity to build on an existing foundation in cards and presales , gaining greater exposure to customer engagements and solution development while growing your expertise in the payments industry.
You'll have the chance to develop at the intersection of technology, payments and commercial problem-solving , making this particularly suited to someone looking for the next step in their presales career.
