Mechanical Engineer AI Trainer (Remote Contract)

Job Description We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to help evaluate and improve advanced AI models. In this role, you will create real-world engineering problems, develop accurate solutions, and assess AI-generated responses against professional engineering standards. This is a fully remote, flexible opportunity for engineers who enjoy problem-solving, technical writing, and applying their expertise in a new way.

Responsibilities

- Create realistic engineering scenarios and technical problems based on your professional experience.
- Develop verified solutions and grading criteria.
- Evaluate AI-generated calculations, analyses, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Compare AI outputs and identify technical errors, omissions, and reasoning flaws.
- Review and refine engineering tasks created by other contributors.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (completed or in progress).
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar.
- Knowledge of FEA, CFD, MATLAB, Python, or other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop clear technical problems and accurately validate solutions.

- Compensation: $40-$125/hour USD (based on project and experience)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
