About the role:
As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) intern, you will directly help maintain a safe and healthful work environment and mitigating environmental impacts.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Fuel Manufacturing EHS located at our Cranberry, PA facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will travel throughout Western Pennsylvania sites as required
- Additional travel opportunities
- You will help develop and implement Health and Safety standards and programs
- Participate in EHS team meetings; present on EHS topics and project progress
- Conduct hazard assessments, and make recommendations for mitigations
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for regulatory compliance
- Participate in accident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions.
- Work as part of an inspection or audit team
- Develop safety briefs, communication and training materials and provide training to improve EHS knowledge
- Analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop reports
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, fire or similar
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Completed occupational safety, environmental or industrial hygiene coursework
- Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work locations (<50 miles)
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
