Schedule: Mon-Wed or Wed-Fri 10:00am-6:30pm

SAGE Concord is hiring a Temporary Kennel Assistant for a part-time, three-month assignment at our Emergency and Specialty veterinary hospital.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment, and wants to gain experience in veterinary medicine.
You'll work alongside veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), and experienced veterinary professionals while helping maintain a safe, comfortable environment for hospitalized pets.
Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required!
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kennels, patient housing, treatment areas, and hospital workspaces.
- Perform laundry, dishwashing, and general hospital cleaning duties.
- Feed hospitalized pets and assist with basic patient care as directed.
- Monitor patient comfort and report concerns to the veterinary team.
- Stock and organize treatment rooms, exam rooms, and medical supplies.
- Assist with safe animal handling and restraint under appropriate supervision.
- Follow hospital cleaning, infection prevention, and safety protocols.
- Support Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and veterinarians with daily hospital operations.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff.
Qualifications
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to compassionate patient care.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Dependability, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfort working around dogs, cats, and hospitalized veterinary patients.
- Ability to multitask and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability to work full-time for the three-month assignment.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital, animal shelter, kennel, boarding facility, or dog daycare.
- Familiarity with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal care.
