About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:
Siemens is a global technology powerhouse that has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality, reliability, and internationality.
Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation (EA) business unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.
We are looking for an Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Specialist. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC headquarters and offers a hybrid work arrangement, with occasional national and/or international travel required to support additional sites, including travel alongside the IMS Manager.
Are you a proven leader who thrives on building alignment across teams and departments that don't report to you? Do you have a track record of leading through significant, sustained organizational change and not just maintaining what's already working? If so, we invite you to join our team as an IMS Specialist, supporting the expansion of Siemens' Integrated Management System (currently, but not limited to, ISO 9001/14001/45001) across a growing multi-site U.S. footprint.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape how new and existing sites integrate into a unified quality and management system during a period of significant organizational growth. You will build lasting relationships with stakeholders across departments, functions, and locations by driving alignment through influence and sound judgment, not formal authority.
You'll make an impact by:
- Site Integration & Change Leadership: Supporting the IMS Manager in integrating new and existing sites into the organization's Integrated Management System, partnering with site leadership to establish shared standards and durable local capability, often during periods of significant organizational change
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Building alignment and cooperation across departments, functions, and geographically dispersed teams, including stakeholders outside this role's direct reporting line
- Stakeholder Representation: Communicating and representing IMS priorities accurately and professionally when engaging stakeholders in coordination with the IMS Manager, including during national and/or international site travel
- Internal Audit Execution: Conducting and supporting internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements, and other standards as the IMS expands
- Corrective Action & Root Cause Support: Compiling action plans from audit findings and assisting stakeholders with identifying root cause and corrective actions; following findings through to closure
- Registrar & Third-Party Assessment Support: Assisting during assessments conducted by the registrar in support of the organization's ISO registration status
- Audit Results Communication: Presenting audit results and findings to plant and site management with clarity and confidence
- Document Control: Supporting document control processes, including migration and standardization of site documentation within the enterprise system of record
- Gap Analysis & Site Maturity: Leading gap analyses and developing corrective action plans for sites in early stages of IMS maturity
- Judgment Under Ambiguity: Exercising sound judgment and professional discretion when managing ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
You will win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, sites, or functions through significant change (e.g., process transformation, systems integration, or organizational growth)
- Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across departments and organizational boundaries without formal authority
- Strong track record of sound judgment and self-direction in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to travel nationally and/or internationally, including with the IMS Manager, to support site visits and stakeholder engagement
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; Siemens will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visas for this position, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001, or other integrated management system frameworks
- Experience with internal audits, document control, or compliance monitoring
