Tool and Die Maker

Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Tool and Die Makers for projects located in or around Bellwood, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate starts at $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

- Inspect, measure, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair common and complex die sets

- Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective actions

- Develop and maintain repair findings, reports, and other technical documentation

- Heat treat tools and components as required

- Measure marks and scribes for metal stock machining operations

- Smooth flat and contoured surfaces using scrapers, abrasive stones, and power grinders

- Fit and assemble parts, assemblies, and mechanisms using hand tools

- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using precision measuring equipment

- Maintain tooling to maximize production efficiency and quality

- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring tooling and dies are operating properly

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:

- Previous Tool & Die Maker experience

- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex die sets

- Experience fitting and assembling tooling components

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining production standards
