- Ability to assist in training junior technicians and staff professionals on field procedures and CQA practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and coordinating with project teams.
- Organizational skills to manage documentation, daily logs, and construction records across multiple sites.
- Adaptability to work on a variety of landfill and landfill gas projects across different regions.
- Professionalism and reliability when representing the company at client sites and during travel.
Work Environment
This role is heavily field-based and involves a significant amount of travel, with approximately 80% of time spent on the road at landfill and construction sites and about 20% in the office. The position typically follows a rotation schedule on gas projects of 34 weeks working 6 days per week, followed by a one-week break. Overnight stays are common, with regional travel to locations such as Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, and various East Coast states. Technicians use a company vehicle that can be taken home and are provided with a gas card. When traveling, accommodations are arranged in comfortable hotels, often extended-stay properties, to support longer assignments away from home. The onboarding process includes approximately two days in an office environment for orientation and safety training before any landfill work, followed by three days of field training on different landfill sites alongside a senior CQA technician. After training, technicians are typically assigned to a primary project site and remain there until project completion. The work takes place outdoors on active construction and landfill sites, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 100% employer-funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401(k) with employer match; an annual bonus program; a student debt employer contribution program; paid holidays and paid time off; and access to a company truck for certain field services positions. The organization follows equal employment opportunity principles and provides a professional, safety-focused, and growth-oriented environment.
