Team Members - Meat Processing

Our Silver Fern Farms Hāwera site is currently recruiting for entry-level Team Member roles across our processing teams. At Hāwera, we’re proud of our supportive team culture and how we look out for each other.

You’ll work hands-on with quality New Zealand grass-fed red meat, helping to process and pack products for customers around the world.

Full training, work clothing and safety equipment are provided, helping you build practical skills and experience on the job.

Te mahi, our working arrangements:

- Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum $28.82/hr plus extras.
- Usually, 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities.
- Minimum $43/hr production overtime rate.
- 8-hour shifts, with day shift hours varying by department between 5.30am and 4.30pm.
- All work clothing and safety gear is provided.

- No experience? No problem, we provide all the training you need.
- You’re an active team member who attends work daily, can work closely with others, and brings a positive, hardworking attitude.
- Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand.
- Must be 18 years or older to meet audit requirements.
- Able to pass our pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements.
