Project Information:
ACCIONA is part of CoastalTraX, delivering the greenfield works for Stage 1 of The Wave: 19 kilometres of dual-track passenger rail between Beerwah and Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. Backed by $5.5 billion in joint government funding, the project is part of Queensland’s infrastructure pipeline ahead of Brisbane 2032 and is now in design and preconstruction.

About the Opportunity:
You will lead the survey function on the greenfield works, reporting to the Construction Manager. As the link between design and site, you will model, review and refine design options with the construction team. Guide your surveying team and subcontractors, run mass haul modelling and spatial analysis, and test site conditions against upcoming program milestones. With the project in design and preconstruction, you can create the data systems and survey practices from the start. You will also keep the wider team across new construction technologies and data capture methods.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

- Lead survey delivery from early planning through to completion
- Model and review design data, including mass haul and spatial analysis
- Oversee construction layout, topographic mapping and boundary retracement
- Guide and mentor surveyors and manage survey subcontractors
- Maintain accurate survey data, as-built records and quality controls
- Manage survey resources, budgets and schedules against program milestones
- Resolve survey discrepancies and work with clients and project stakeholders

Required Skills and Competencies

What capability and experience will you need to have:

- Registration as a surveyor
- Diploma in Engineering Surveying or equivalent qualification
- Surveying experience in the civil construction industry
- Advanced 12d or Terramodel skills for modelling and datasets
- Proven ability to lead surveyors and produce method statements
