About this role
Responsibilities
1. Financial
- Maintain client accounts, using a variety of accounting systems.
- Xero accounting system experience is required for this role. (XPM)
- Prepare and meticulously analyze financial reports, ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory standards for our clients.
- Generate detailed financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and uphold accounting systems to streamline and optimize financial reporting procedures.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate closely with firm executive team.
- Develop financial forecasts and analyses crucial for supporting strategic decision-making.
3. Cost Management
- Assist in overseeing the client's financial activities to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational enhancements.
4. Tax Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant tax regulations and liaise with colleagues or external tax advisors as necessary.
- Prepare tax returns and other required documentation accurately and within specified timelines.
5. Financial Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to aid in business planning and decision-making processes.
- Provide valuable insights into financial performance and trends, contributing to the development of strategic initiatives.
6. Collaboration
- Work in close conjunction with legal and administrative teams, financiers and our clients to comprehend and address financial requirements.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders as directed.
- Take instruction from Supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CA certification is required.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role is required.
- Profound knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, accounting systems, and taxation.
- Strong analytical prowess and problem-solving skills, coupled with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and adapt within a dynamic professional environment.
Work Arrangement
- Work Setup: Flexible Work Arrangement
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm AEST, should complete nine (9) hours work
