About this role

Description

We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and self-starting Planning and Ops Manager to drive innovation, build scalable processes, and execute in the space of operational and supply chain excellence for the Amazon India business - one of the most dynamic marketplace environments world-wide.

In this role, you will support the operational performance of independent sellers on the Amazon marketplace, helping them improve how they plan and send inventory into Amazon's fulfillment network. You will act as a key connection point between sellers, Amazon's fulfillment and supply chain operations, category teams, and product teams - working to protect both the seller and customer experience. You will drive system and process improvements in partnership with internal operations and seller-support teams, and deliver the operational programs that help make the Amazon India business efficient and scalable over the long term. You will create, write, and review business cases, conduct supporting research and analysis, and develop solutions from concept through execution and monitoring.

This role requires strong self-motivation, a bias for action, and sharp project management skills. The ideal candidate works closely with category leaders, supply chain teams, operations teams, and technology partners to develop strategy, automation, dashboards, and execution mechanisms that solve complex inbound operations problems. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve seller operational performance alongside high-impact operations improvement programs

Key job responsibilities
-Ensure seller/vendor account performance is healthy and delivered in line with targets for inventory and inbound health, while balancing out operating plans
-Identify and articulate the strategic importance of metrics to manage tradeoffs, improve customer experience, and drive decisions with internal and external stakeholders
-Partner with vendor operations teams on strategies to reduce cost, lead time, and waste across the end-to-end supply chain
-Define, prioritize, and monitor programs/projects to ensure targets are met on time
-Create, write, and review business cases; perform supporting research and analysis; write specifications; and drive the product development schedule from strategy to execution
-Retrieve and analyze data using Gen AI tools, Visualization dashboards, SQL, or other data management systems
-Monitor project execution to ensure delivery meets quality standards and target dates, maintaining overall program integrity
-Work with cross-functional teams to deliver operational performance and projects

A day in the life
Your day is anchored around your sellers' performance. You begin by reviewing inbound and inventory health metrics, identifying any gaps in availability and diving deep to find root causes. You partner with fulfillment and supply chain operations to resolve bottlenecks, and align with category teams on upcoming demand. You lead working sessions on the process improvements you own, and prepare recommendations for senior stakeholder forums. As the connective point across seller, operations, category, and product teams, you turn seller needs into coordinated action - balancing daily execution with the longer-term bets that make your sellers, and the business, stronger.

About the team
Our team manages seller accounts on the Amazon India marketplace, partnering with independent sellers to run their supply chain with the rigor and efficiency of the platform's most mature businesses. We sit at the intersection of sellers, fulfillment and supply chain operations, category teams, and product teams - ensuring inventory flows smoothly, availability stays strong, and the customer experience is protected. Set up to give growing sellers a dedicated layer of supply chain experts, we've since raised our ambition toward seller self-sufficiency and end-to-end efficiency. We're fast-paced and collaborative, valuing ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action.
