Sr Analyst II Software (Tester)

Job Description:

The position emphasizes Agile delivery, Group insurance expertise , experience with Group Asia Group 400, and high-quality testing documentation.

Role Overview

The Business Tester will prepare test strategies, plans, scenarios, and scripts that align with project requirements. The role involves hands-on testing across insurance platforms, participation in project meetings, stakeholder collaboration, and defect management throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts from project specifications.

• Execute functional, system, regression, smoke, and sanity testing across insurance applications.

• Identify, record, track, and close defects using the designated defect-tracking tool throughout the full Software Testing Life Cycle process.

• Review Functional Specifications and Style Guides to understand application modules, functionality, and requirements.

• Maintain bug reports, delivery notes, and other testing documentation.

• Participate in peer reviews, walkthroughs, and review meetings for test cases and related deliverables.

• Work with cross-functional teams and attend status meetings to communicate testing progress and risks.

• Support User Acceptance Testing and coordinate with business stakeholders when required.

• Contribute independently while also functioning effectively as a team member.

Required Skills and Attributes

The role requires strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology and practical experience with insurance platforms, particularly Group Asia Group 400 and its Policy and Claims modules. Candidates should understand the Group insurance domain, use basic SQL for data validation, and be able to analyse end-to-end system modules and business workflows.

Effective communication and stakeholder management are also important, including the ability to convey information clearly and professionally and to interact with senior-level stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in BE, BTech, MCA, M.Sc., or an equivalent qualification is required.

• Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing or Business Testing within the Group insurance domain , specifically on platforms such as Group Asia Group 400.

• Experience working in Agile environments is mandatory.
