About this role
Area 14 Maintenance & Response Contract is a Joint Venture between Costain and Jacobs to provide a maintenance and response service for National Highways on the Strategic Road Network in Area 14. The Area 14 network is in the northeast of England and comprises of motorways and trunk roads in North Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland.
Area 14 Maintenance and Response is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Area 14 network comprising incident response, cyclic and reactive maintenance, and severe weather services on behalf of National Highways.
To support the Contract SHE functions, provide, and support SHE solutions and enable the Contract / Operational Teams to implement the SHE Management System.
To build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, whilst providing an independent and objective view of SHE Performance on the Contract.

Essential
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or
- NEBOSH Oil and Gas or
- IEMA Associate Qualification (Course) or equivalent.
- Tech IOSH or Associate AIEMA or equivalent
Desirable
- NEBOSH Occupational Safety Diploma or Environmental Diploma or equivalent
