About the role:

Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.

At Boston Scientific, we're committed to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions. We are seeking an experienced and strategic commercial leader to lead our MedSurg business across SEE, encompassing Endoscopy, Urology and Neuromodulation.

As the MedSurg Business Unit Manager, you will drive an integrated commercial strategy, deliver sustainable revenue growth and profitability, and build a high-performing organization across three specialized divisions. You will have overall accountability for MedSurg business performance while directly leading one designated division and providing strategic direction, coaching and performance oversight to the leaders of the other two divisions.

This role requires a leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence, develops strong talent, navigates complex market dynamics and builds effective partnerships across direct and distributor-led markets. You will collaborate closely with regional and divisional stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships, accelerate market development and advance Boston Scientific's mission of improving patient lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop and execute an integrated SEE MedSurg commercial strategy and annual operating plan across Endoscopy, Urology and Neuromodulation, aligned with regional and divisional priorities.

- Lead consolidated MedSurg business performance, including revenue growth, profitability, expense management, forecasting and market-development objectives.

- Directly lead one designated MedSurg division, with full accountability for its commercial strategy, sales execution, financial performance and team leadership.

- Provide strategic direction, coaching and performance oversight to the Business Managers and/or Regional Sales Managers responsible for the other two divisions, ensuring balanced performance across the portfolio.

- Establish clear business priorities, operating rhythms, performance expectations and accountability across the three divisions while preserving their clinical and market specialization.

- Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, competitive intelligence and portfolio priorities, translating findings into actionable commercial plans.

- Optimize resource allocation, investments, sales capacity and organizational capabilities to maximize overall MedSurg performance and sustainable profitability.

- Lead business planning, forecasting and performance reviews, identifying execution gaps and implementing timely corrective actions.

- Build, coach and develop a high-performing MedSurg leadership team, strengthening talent pipelines, succession planning, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

- Lead organizational change and integration initiatives, promoting collaboration, role clarity and shared accountability while maintaining business continuity and specialist expertise.

- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clinical, economic and administrative stakeholders, including health care professionals, hospital leadership and priority accounts.

- Drive strategic account planning, market development, product launches and customer engagement initiatives that demonstrate differentiated clinical, economic and operational value.

- Oversee MedSurg commercial execution across direct, distributor-led and hybrid go-to-market models, adapting strategies to local market needs and opportunities.

- In distributor-led markets, maintain accountability for MedSurg business performance and day-to-day franchise engagement, including sales execution, forecasting, training, inventory priorities and market-development initiatives.

- Partner closely with Channel Partner Managers on distributor strategy, governance, performance improvement and compliance, while respecting their responsibility for overall partner relationship management and cross-portfolio coordination.

- Collaborate with country and divisional Marketing teams to shape commercial priorities, customer segmentation, market-development initiatives and product-launch strategies through matrix influence rather than direct reporting authority.

- Partner with Finance, Commercial Excellence, Pricing, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, Legal and other functions to enable effective execution and disciplined decision-making.

- Support strategic negotiations, tenders, pricing initiatives and commercial agreements in accordance with established approval processes and functional responsibilities.

- Foster an inclusive, collaborative and performance-driven culture that encourages innovation, accountability, ethical decision-making and continuous improvement.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry codes, Boston Scientific policies, Quality System requirements and regulatory standards, maintaining a strong commitment to patient safety, product quality and appropriate risk escalation.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, health care or a related discipline.

- Significant commercial leadership experience within the medical device, health care or another regulated industry, with demonstrated accountability for sales strategy, revenue growth and business performance.

- Proven experience leading managers and geographically or commercially diverse teams, including coaching, talent development, succession planning and performance management.

- Demonstrated experience managing business or portfolio financial performance, including revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting and resource allocation.

- Strong strategic planning and commercial execution capabilities, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear priorities and measurable business outcomes.

- Experience managing direct and indirect sales channels, including distributor performance and collaboration with channel-partner management functions.

- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results within a complex matrix organization.

- Demonstrated change-leadership capabilities, including experience navigating organizational transformation and driving team alignment.

- Strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, negotiation skills and executive-level communication capabilities.

- Ability to build credibility with clinical, commercial and economic decision-makers while understanding the distinct needs of specialized therapy areas.

- Fluency in business English and relevant local languages, where required.

- Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned markets as business needs require.

Preferred qualifications:

- Advanced degree in business administration, health care management or a related discipline.

- Commercial leadership experience across multiple medical device franchises, therapeutic areas or complex product portfolios.

- Experience leading regional or multicountry commercial organizations with diverse market structures and distributor networks.

- Experience leading business integration, organizational redesign or commercial consolidation initiatives.
