About this role

Reporting to the O2C Team Lead, this is a varied and exciting role within the O2C UK team, ideal for a bright and ambitious individual looking to broaden their understanding of the financial aspects of our restaurant partners. As an O2C Accountant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all UK departments on operational finance matters relating to our Restaurant Partners (RPs).

These are some of the key components to the position:

●        Assist with Change of Ownership and daily Change of Restaurant Details processes (CORDs Inbox). Ensure bank details are removed when requested to avoid incorrect payments being made.

●        Bank Forms - Action any bank forms received within our SLA (2 working days). Ensure that all supporting documents align with our change of bank process and are captured correctly onto the Google drive.

●        Holds List - Liaise with the team to ensure all restaurant queries etc. which require payments to be held, are included before the weekly payment run (Wednesday).

●        Account for any RP payments returned to the bank and take appropriate action to follow up and obtain corrected details.

●        Assist with accurate calculation of split payments arising from RP changes in ownership.

●        Assist with the regular follow up of held payments to minimise the volume, value and length of time they are held.

●        Respond to incoming internal requests from all departments in a professional manner.

●        Respond to internal and external queries, both written and in person, in a professional manner.

●        Assist in covering for other O2C Accountants for holidays etc.

●        Support the O2C Team Lead with ad-hoc duties.

●        Complete other ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Your Profile & Experience

●        Previous experience of working within a finance team

●        The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines

●        A team player keen to work with the wider business and the rest of Finance

●        A can-do attitude

●        A high level of accuracy with good attention to detail

●        Good/intermediate Excel skills

●         Good communication skills both face-to-face and written

●        Excellent telephone manner

●        Lots of initiative, keen to seek out improvements and find solutions if problems are encountered

●        Able to work under pressure

Desirable but not essential

●      Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics (D365)

●      Previous experience of Zendesk Software

●     Experience using Google Drive
