CDL Class B Driver - Manual

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Transport all materials (mulch, compost and soil mixes) to all Kansas City MO area and surrounding-area company site locations, retail locations, and customer addresses in a safe manner

- Travel to and between all terminal locations in and around the Kansas City MO area,

- Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site, and any special instructions and follow them to the detail

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and immediately report any concerns or problems

- Operate tandem and dump truck vehicles according to state and federal laws and observing all safety regulations established by the company and DOT

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Possess a current Class A CDL in good standing with no restrictions, and current DOT medical card

- Clean MVR with no DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years

- Must have air brake endorsement

- Must have experience driving either a tandem truck or dump truck

- Must be able to drive a manual, aka "stick shift"

- Must be able to pass an extensive DOT drug screening, which includes urine, hair and breath alcohol testing

- Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays

- Must be comfortable driving CDL tractor-trailers of 13 speeds or higher

- Must be in good physical condition; able to lift over 50 pounds, stand and sit for long periods of time, etc.

- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check

- Must be eligible to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

- CDL Class A, or at least 3 years of CDL Class B driving experience

- Experience operating commercial vehicles with live walking floor trailers and/or floors that move
