Job Description

**Responsibilities**

As a Class 1 Pick-up and Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the following key duties:

- Execute timely pick-up and delivery operations for various customers within the Wabush terminal service area
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Load and unload freight from vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Operate pallet jacks and lift-gates to facilitate efficient cargo handling
- Meet all time-sensitive delivery deadlines and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform dock operations and material handling duties throughout your shift
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct routine equipment inspections
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery status and any operational challenges
- Adapt to schedule adjustments based on freight volume and operational requirements

**Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (subject to occasional modifications based on operational needs)

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Ability to provide a current criminal record check and driver's abstract
- Permanent residency in the Labrador region (local candidates only)
- Two professional work-related references
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous employment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification
- Forklift operation experience
