Reporting operationally to the VP, Commercial and functionally to the Director, Talent & Global HRBP, you will lead a team of Talent Partners while translating business strategies into workforce plans, talent solutions, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business proximity and enterprise Talent governance, accountable for Hub-level team leadership, trusted advisory, and disciplined execution within Cirque du Soleil's global Talent framework.
What You'll Do
Partner with Hub and business leaders to align talent priorities with business objectives, translating strategies into workforce plans, organization design initiatives, and capability-building programs
Anticipate talent risks, capability gaps, and succession challenges, and recommend practical mitigation actions to keep the Hub performing at its best
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Partners — setting clear priorities, service expectations, and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and internal mobility discussions, while leading Talent workstreams related to transformations, organizational changes, and show openings or closures
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and compliance — supporting or leading workplace investigations and mitigating people-related risks through proactive guidance and disciplined documentation
Operate as an integrated member of the Hub leadership structure, contributing talent and workforce insights to business planning while maintaining alignment between the VP, Commercial and the Director, Talent & Global HRBP
Collaborate with Compensation, Learning & Development, Talent Operations, Internal Communications, Health & Safety, and other Talent teams to deploy enterprise programs, frameworks, and initiatives effectively across the Hub
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
7–10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, or HR Business Partnering
5+ years of experience leading people and developing high-performing teams
Sound knowledge of US employment and labour legislation
Experience supporting complex, matrixed, and geographically dispersed organizations
Demonstrated success partnering with operational and commercial leaders — connecting talent priorities directly to business outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, coaching, judgement, and stakeholder management skills — with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, collaborate effectively across functions and geographies, and deliver high-quality outcomes while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
A people-centric, data-driven approach — you use workforce analytics and insights to inform decisions, balance business needs with employee experience, and act with sound judgement and governance
Bonus Points For:
Bilingual capability in English and French
Experience in live entertainment, hospitality, or a similarly complex consumer-facing industry
