DevOps engineer - M365/SharePoint Online

Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)

Working familiarity with automation approaches for SharePoint Online DMS and Microsoft 365 — including PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Graph integrations, and Azure-based workflows.

Working knowledge of the M365 Apps Admin Center, with a strong focus on SharePoint Online and the Compliance Center — managing sites and tenant-wide configurations, including assessment and rollout of new features and updates across the environment.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 platforms — analyzing incidents, collaborating with vendors to identify root causes, and resolving complex or ambiguous issues with standardized, sustainable fixes that improve platform stability and performance.

Refine and enforce governance, security measures, retention, and lifecycle management policies for SharePoint Online, ensuring the platform meets Allianz's compliance and security standards.

Apply strong SharePoint architecture knowledge to design scalable, resilient solutions that align with Allianz's technical requirements and standards, bringing a genuinely creative eye to how platform capabilities can be structured and extended.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to design, test, and deliver end-to-end SharePoint solutions, ensuring changes are fully validated ahead of operational readiness.

Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and optimization, championing their adoption across the platform.

Mentor and coach team members — sharing platform knowledge, reviewing their work, and supporting their growth in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 administration.
