About the role

Help GGU faculty use instructional technologies confidently and effectively, whether tools operate within Brightspace or independently. Provide responsive troubleshooting, training, course implementation support, and hands-on pilots of promising tools. Approximately 70% of the role centers on instructional technology and faculty support; 30% focuses on LMS administration.

How we work

You will be a visible, approachable partner to faculty—responding to everyday questions, helping test activities, and guiding technology changes from trial to practical use. You will coordinate with designers, IT, and vendors, document what works, and balance immediate support needs with reliable LMS operations.

Key responsibilities

Faculty support, training, and instructional technology (approximately 70%)

- Lead faculty office hours and the support inbox; help instructors use their courses and resolve instructional technology issues.

- Help faculty select, implement, test, and troubleshoot learning technologies, whether used in Brightspace or independently.

- Orient and train faculty; create guides and videos, and maintain the Faculty Success Hub and eLearning SharePoint content.

- Prepare and update course shells and instructional components; coordinate faculty materials, Edvisor.ai support, and vendor issues.

- Pilot emerging tools in sandboxes, standalone environments, or faculty test groups; document findings and adoption recommendations.

- Conduct course launch and accessibility checks; support responsible AI use, surveys, and follow-up on faculty needs.

LMS administration and technical operations (approximately 30%)

- Manage Brightspace settings, roles, permissions, course offerings, enrollments, course copies, and term rollovers.

- Troubleshoot system access, SIS synchronization, and approved integrations; coordinate escalations with IT and vendors.

- Test LMS updates, document changes, and communicate impacts to faculty and the team.

- Prepare usage and support reports while protecting student information and following GGU policies.

Shared team responsibilities

- Collaborate with faculty and design colleagues on courses, instructional tools, launches, accessibility, and documentation.

- Provide one-off faculty support, including activity testing and assistance with instructional or program challenges.

- Contribute to parallel program development, reusable resources, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you bring

Required

- At least three years of professional experience in instructional technology, LMS support or administration, or educator technology training; bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

- Experience directly supporting and training educators, with clear, patient communication and reliable follow-through.

- Ability to troubleshoot LMS issues independently and support course builds, updates, and checklist-based QA; hands-on Brightspace experience strongly preferred.

- Working knowledge of accessibility, student-data privacy, and responsible use of generative AI in education.

- Strong documentation, organization, service orientation, and ability to coordinate escalations across teams and vendors.

Preferred

- Brightspace administrator/instructor certification and experience with integrations, SIS synchronization, Edvisor.ai, or comparable tools.

- Higher education experience supporting faculty through LMS migrations, online-teaching transitions, course changes, or adoption of new instructional technologies.

- Experience piloting and evaluating standalone or LMS-integrated tools with faculty, including accessibility, usability, and instructional fit.

- Experience developing faculty training resources, guides, videos, or professional development; higher education teaching experience.

- Experience supporting adult learners or online programs, working with SharePoint or surveys, and professional proficiency in written Spanish.
